History
Started in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in 2007, Erickson Design seeks to offer contemporary design solutions to outdoor landscaping problems.
Owner and lead designer Neil Erickson draws his inspiration for landscape design from traditional architecture and the calming effects of natural spaces. His design philosophy revolves around creating creative outdoor spaces that function together no matter the season. After receiving an education in both landscape design and ornamental horticultural in Alberta, Neil saw an opportunity to move back home to Saskatchewan and start his own firm.
Horticultural consultant and designer Mary Campbell received a diploma in production horticulture and has spent over a decade cultivating plants in the greenhouse. Her background in the greenhouse industry has given her an insight into how plants grow and why sometimes they don't.
Erickson Design originally offered its clients hand drawn landscape designs and plans. As demand grew for designs and plans, computer software programs replaced the hand drawings, and now Erickson Design uses 3D renderings of custom concepts to help our clients visualize their design.
Since 2008 Erickson Design has participated yearly in Saskatoon's Gardenscape, which is Canada's third largest gardening trade show. In 2009 Erickson Design was honored to receive the award for best single booth.
